Verizon IndyCar Series Preview: ABC Supply 500, Sunday, August 21, 2016 3:00PM (ET) NBCSN – Previous driver experience shows Scott Dixon, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Ryan Hunter-Reay are the only drivers who have won at Pocono since the track returned to the calendar in 2013. Four drivers have finished in the Top 10 in each of those three races: Scott Dixon, Simon Pagenaud, Josef Newgarden, and Will Power. Results from 2015 and 2014 have only two drivers in the Top 5 in each of the last two years: Juan Pablo Montoya and Carlos Munoz. Power, Pagenaud, and Dixon each finished in the Top 10 over the last two races at Pocono. My pick to win: Carlos Munoz – Munoz was strong all month long at Indy and was unfortunate to not win it. I think he’s eager to get back to a superspeedway and put his 500 devastation behind him. His previous success at Pocono puts him in great position to grab his first win of 2016.

My fantasy.indycar.com picks: Carlos Munoz, Juan Pablo Montoya, Josef Newgarden, Alexander Rossi – This is an interesting week for Fantasy INDYCAR. There’s a lot of “value” on this stacked line up I’ve put together. Rossi, Munoz, and Newgarden were the Top 3 at Indy and every bit of that was legitimate from the Munoz and Newgarden end. Rossi was fast all month long, battled through the field a few times, and showed he has the resolve to work his way through a 500 mile race. Montoya is due for a great result and Pocono should be an excellent place to do it.
