Report: NBC broadcast team will now be on site at Texas – Adam Stern reports the NBC Sports broadcast crew of Leigh Diffey, Paul Tracy, and Townsend Bell will now be on site at Texas Motor Speedway for next weekend’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES opener at Texas Motor Speedway. INDYCAR Texas opener moved to NBC – “The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will be broadcast in primetime on NBC for the first time when the season-opening Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway is televised starting at 8 p.m. (ET) Saturday, June 6. The race is moving to NBC from its originally scheduled window on NBCSN. INDYCAR confirms RA doubleheader and Richmond/Toronto cancellation – “An updated 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule was released today, displaying calendar adjustments implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic…The REV Group Grand Prix at Road America has been rescheduled from June 21 to July 11-12, becoming a double-header with championship points races Saturday and Sunday on the iconic, 4-mile road course. Honda Indy Toronto postponed – “The Honda Indy Toronto will not be held on the originally scheduled date of July 10-12, 2020 at Exhibition Place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. ECR unveils No. 47 Indy 500 livery for Daly – “Ed Carpenter Racing and the U.S. Air Force are proud to unveil Conor Daly’s No. 47 U.S. Air Force Chevrolet for the 2020 Indianapolis 500. INDYCAR finale set for St. Pete on October 25 – “The 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion will be crowned Sunday, Oct. 25 at the rescheduled Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The new date for the series finale was confirmed today by officials from INDYCAR, Green Savoree St. Petersburg, LLC (GSSP) and the City of St. Petersburg. This will be the 16th consecutive year that an INDYCAR event will take place on the streets of beautiful St. Petersburg, as the exciting race weekend has become a fan favorite on the annual schedule and a fixture in the region. INDYCAR confirms plan to open season at Texas without fans on June 6th – “The 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season will begin Saturday, June 6 with the Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. INDYCAR’s stars will take the green flag at 8:45 p.m. (ET), with broadcast coverage provided by NBC Sports via NBCSN. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, INDYCAR will run a condensed schedule with practice, qualifying and the race taking place on the same day. The event also will be conducted without fans in attendance. McLaughlin wins wild iRacing Challenge finish at Indy – Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin won the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge at Indianapolis on Saturday passing multiple crashed competitors on the final turns and straightaway. Report: New team hoping to enter with Enerson when INDYCAR returns – RACER’s Marshall Pruett reports a new team, Top Gun Racing, is hoping to enter the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with RC Enerson as its driver when the series returns to racing. The team will attempt to qualify for this weekend’s iRacing INDYCAR Challenge event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and intends to make its on track debut at the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in August.
